Anti-dumping

On 18 January 2011, the Mexican authorities initiated a sunset review investigation on imports of multilayer paper sacks for lime and cement from Brazil. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 4819.3001. The complaint was lodged on 7 December 2010 by the Cámara Nacional de las Industrias de la Celulosa y del Papel (CNICP) and the company Bio Pappel SAB de CV. The original definitive anti-dumping duty was imposed on 25 January 2006.
 
On 28 March 2012, the Mexican authorities issued the preliminary results of the investigation and extended the duty imposed on the subject product. The rate of duty is 19.33% or 29.11% depending on the company.
 
On 17 July 2012, the Mexican authorities extended the anti-dumping duty in force on imports of the subject good from Brazil. The rate of duty remains at 19.33% or 29.11% depending on the company. The measure is in force from 26 January 2011 for a period of five years.
 
On 9 January 2016, the Mexican authorities initiated a sunset review on imports of multilayer paper sacks for lime and cement from Brazil. The complaint was lodged on 2 December 2015 by Bio Pappel, SAB de CV.
