Anti-dumping

On 17 August 2011, after receiving an application from Shouguang Fukang Medical Company on 24 June 2011 and in accordance with the Article 49 of the Anti-dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the MOFCOM issued Notice No.50 (2012) and decided to carry out a mid-term review for the anti-dumping (AD) duty on sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) from India. The concerned HS code is 2935.0030. 
 

On 16 August 2012, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People's Republic of China issued the Notice No.50 (2012), announcing the preliminary re-imposition of AD duty on SMZ originating in India.
The AD duty rate levied on the Andhra Organics Limited and Virchow Laboratories Limited will be increased from 10.1% to 17.2%, and the AD duty rate levied on all other Indian companies will be decreased from 37.7% to 36.4%.
 
 On June 14, 2013,the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) released the Notice NO.38 (2013), announcing the final determination of AD duty on Sulfamethoxazole.
 
The original duty was imposed on 15 June 2007 and is now extended for an additional period of 5 years.
