On 21 September 2012, Serbia introduced a temporary duty free regime for imports of cereals, sunflower seeds and soybeans with the following HS codes: 1001 19 00 00, 1001 99 00 00, 1205 10 90 00 and 1205 90 00 00 (regime effective until 30.6.2013); 1005 90 00 00, 1201 90 00 00, 1206 00 91 00, 1206 00 99 00 (regime effective until 31.8.2013).
This measure was introduced after the drought in summer in order to prevent the rise of food prices in Serbia.
