On 2 May 2011, Morocco initiated an anti-dumping investigation on plywood extract from China. The dumping is alleged to have occurred during the year 2010. The affected HS codes are: 4412.1300, 4412.1400, 4412.1900, 4412.2200 and 4412.2900.
On 4 June 2012, Morocco imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty of 25% on imports of the subject good from China.
On 5 December 2012, Morocco imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of duty remains at 25%.
On 26 May 2017, the Moroccan authorities issued Public Notice No. 07/17 initiating a sunset review of the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Cema Bois De L'Atlas. The sunset review commenced on 29 May 2017.
On 7 September 2017, the Moroccan authorities extended the imposition period of the definitive antidumping duty provisionally pending the outcome of the above sunset review.
