On June 29, 2012, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan imposed a temporary ban on the exportation of light distillates and products, kerosene, gas oils, and other oil products, with the exception of special gasoline and domestic heating oil, for a period of six months.
 
The resolution entered into force on 1 July 2012.
