Anti-dumping

On June 26, 2012, the Pakistani authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of polyester staple fibre from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 5503.2010. The dumping is suspected to have occurred between April 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012.
On December 21, 2012, the Pakistani authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of polyester staple fibre from China. The rate of the duty ranges from 0% to 8.82%, depending on the exporting company.
On July 29, 2013, the Pakistani authorities terminated the investigation without imposing a definitive duty.
