NoOn July 15, 2013, the President ofthe Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing in respect of certainunitized wall modules originating in or exported from the People's Republic ofChina. Provisional duties were payable on the subject goods that are released by the CBSA on or after July 15, 2013.
On November 12, 2013, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal found that the dumping and subsidizing of these items had not caused injury but were threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will therefore be collected by CBSA.
CBSA had previously terminated its investigation as of September 17, 2012. The agency had initiated investigations on July 16, 2012 respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of these products. The investigations followed a complaint filed on May 24, 2012, by several firms located in British Columbia and Ontario.
