On December 16, 2010, the Argentinian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on glass wool products from Mexico. The product subject to investigation is classified under the following tariff code of the MERCOSUR Harmonized System: 7019.39.00. This follows the request lodged by the Argentinean enterprise Saint Gobain Isover Argentina S.A.

On June 21, 2012, the Government of Argentina adopted anti-dumping duties against certain glass wool products from Mexico. The rate of duty is 112.57% ad valorem of the FOB value. The measure entered into force on 14 June 2012.

On 14 June 2017, the Argentinian authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Mexico. This follows the application lodged by SAINT-GOBAIN ARGENTINA S.A. The duty remains in force for the duration of this investigation.

On 13 September 2018, the Argentinian authorities extended the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of glass wool products from Mexico following the conclusion of the above sunset review. The rate of duty is ad valorem 67% of the FOB value. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
