Anti-dumping

On December 1, 2010, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of cellophane transparent film from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3920.7100.
On January 13, 2012, the Indian authorities decided upon the continuation of the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of cellophane transparent film from China for five more years. The amount of the duty is USD 1.95 per kilogram.
The original anti-dumping duty was decided on July 28, 2006 and imposed by Notification No. 94/2006-Customs on September 7, 2006.
 
On 12 January 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Kesoram Rayon and hereafter the orders of the Hon'ble High Court.

On 9 November 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry terminated the above sunset review following the order of the Hon'ble High Court.
