Anti-dumping

Brazil has initiated an anti-dumping investigation against metallic magnesium (HS code 8104.1100) from Russia on 7 June 2011.
On 23 April 2012, a definitive anti-dumping duty was imposed of US$ 890.73/t (or 25.2%).

On 20 April 2017, the Brazilian authorities initiated a sunset review of the above antidumping duty imposed on the subject good from Russia (Circular No. 20 of 2017). This review follows a petition lodged by Rima Industrial S.A. The antidumping duty is in force during the period of review.

On 28 March 2018, the Brazilian authorities extended the definitive duty imposed in imports of metallic magnesium from Russia following the conclusion of a sunset review. The rate of duty is USD 890.73 per tonne. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
