Export tax

On 8 May 2012, the Government of India termporarily removed the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on onions. Until 2 July 2012, Indian onion producers may sell their crop otherwise unrestricted.

 
The above measure was extended with a notification on 29 June 2012, until the re-introduction of MEP on 14 August 2013 (see related measure).
