NoAs confirmed by the Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the WTO, the government of Turkey has repeatedly raised import duties on meat.
In two steps, import duties have been raised from 40 to 60 and finally 75 percent on 14 May 2011 and 2 July 2011.
By virtue of the EU-Turkey Customs Union Agreement of December 22, 1995, the tariffs do not apply to products from EU member states.
No affected trading partners with an annual trade value over US$ 1 million were identified.
