Export tax

As confirmed by the Permanent Delegation of Viet Nam to the WTO, the government of Viet Nam has increased export duties on jewellery and gold from zero to 10 percent.
 
The new export duty came into effect on 1 January 2011.
 
Update January 9, 2014:
 
In December 2013, it was reported that Viet Nam was to gradually reduce these duties to 2 percent (see here). The government has, however, not mentioned any specific date.
