Anti-dumping

On March 19, 2012, the Government of Uruguay adopted anti-dumping duties against certain type of water electric heaters, for domestic use, from China. The measure consists of an anti-dumping margin of 35% per unit for all Chinese enterprises.
The anti-dumping investigation initiated on June 20, 2010, upon request of the Uruguayan enterprise James S.A.
The product subject to the anti-dumping duties is classified under the following tariff code of the MERCOSUR´s Harmonized System: 8516.10.00.10.
 
On 15 January 2015, the Uruguayan authorities initiated a sunset review of the above products from China.
