Anti-dumping

Based on a petition filed by the Whirlpool Corporation on December 30, 2011, the U.S. International Trade Commission instituted an anti-dumping (AD) investigation of residential washing machines imported from South Korea and Mexico and a countervailing duty(CVD) investigation of these products from South Korea. The Department of Commerce published on December 26, 2012 its final affirmative anti-dumping determinations for Korea (http://ia.ita.doc.gov/frn/2012/1212frn/2012-31104.txt) and Mexico (http://ia.ita.doc.gov/frn/2012/1212frn/2012-31077.txt) and its final affirmative countervailing duty determination for Korea (http://ia.ita.doc.gov/frn/2012/1212frn/2012-31078.txt). The U.S. International Trade Commission reached affirmative injury determinations on January 23, 2013 (http://www.usitc.gov/press_room/news_release/2013/er0123ll1.htm), which will result in imposition of the AD and CVD orders.
