ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
Based on a petition filed on December 29, 2011, the U.S. International Trade Commission instituted anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of steel wire garment hangers. These include AD and CVD petitions against imports from Vietnam and an AD petition against imports from Taiwan (also known as Chinese Taipei).
The Department of Commerce published on December 10, 2012 its AD order on Taiwan (http://ia.ita.doc.gov/frn/2012/1212frn/2012-29765.txt), and published its final AD and CVD findings against Vietnam. The U.S. International Trade Commission reached its affirmative injury determination against Vietnam on January 16, 2013 (http://www.usitc.gov/press_room/news_release/2013/er0116ll1.htm), which will result in imposition of the AD and CVD orders.
