Import tariff

On December 7, 2011, the Government of Argentina adopted reference prices applicable to the importation of certain types of baby carriages (including strollers) from Brazil and other Latin-American countries. The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff line of MERCOSUR's Harmonized System: 8715.00.00.
 
These reference prices entered into force on December 9, 2011.
 
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods in June 2005 (in Spanish: valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo). Thestatedpurpose is tostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing. Importersarerequired toprovideguaranteesfor thedifferenceindutiesandtaxesifthedeclaredprice ofanimport islowerthanitsreferenceprice(see 7th GTA Report and 2014 National Trade Estimate Report).A list with all current import reference prices can be consulted under:www.afip.gov.ar/aduana/valoracion/valores.criterios.pdf
