NoOn 5 August 2011, the Government of Colombia initiated an anti-dumping investigation on aluminium laminates and extruded aluminium profiles from China and Venezuela. This investigation was requested by the Colombian enterprises Aluminio Nacional - Alúmina, Aluminio Reynolds Santo Domingo S.A. and Metalmecánica de Aluminio Emma y Cía. S.A. The products subject to investigation are respectively classified under the following HS code subheadings: 7604.21.00.00, 7604.29.10.00, 7604.29.20.00, 7608.10.90.00 and 7608.20.00.00 as well as 7606.92.90.00, 7606.92.30.00, 7606.91.90.00 and 7606.11.00.00.
On 10 November 2011, the Colombian authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of aluminium laminates and extruded aluminium profiles from China and Venezuela. The amount of duty on imports of extruded aluminium profiles from China is the difference between the FOB price declared by the importer and the reference FOB price set at USD 3.70 per kilogram. The amount of duty on imports of aluminium laminates from China is the difference between the FOB price declared by the importer and the reference FOB price set at USD 3.75 per kilogram. The amount of duty on imports of extruded aluminium profiles from the Venezuelan company EXTRUDAL-Extrusión de Aluminio C.A. is the difference between the FOB price declared by the importer and the reference FOB price set at USD 3.93 per kilogram whilst the investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties concerning the companies ALREYVEN, Materiales de Aluminio Flamingo and ALDOCA C.A. Aluminios de Occidente. No provisional duty was imposed on imports of aluminium laminates from Venezuela.
On 13 July 2012, the Colombian authorities terminated the above investigation without the imposition of definitive duties.
