NoOn December 20, 2010, the Indian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of geogrid/geostrips/geostraps made of polyester or glass fibre, in all its forms including all widths and lengths, from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 3902.1000, 3914.0090, 3920.1019, 3926.9099, 5503.4000, 5603.1300, 5603.9400, 5604.1000, 5604.9000, 5608.9090, 5903.1090, 5903.9090, 5911.1000, 5911.3150, 5911.3190, 5911.9090, 7019.4000, 7019.5900, 7019.9010 and 7019.9090.
On December 19, 2011, the Indian authorities issued their final findings and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty. This definitive duty was imposed on January 24, 2012 (Notification No. 11/2012-Customs (ADD), 24.01.2012). The amount of the duty is USD 0.55 per square metre. This definitive duty is effective for a period of five years.
On 23 January 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on the subject good from China.
On 9 November 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry terminated the above sunset review following the order of the Hon'ble High Court.
