ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
In a petition filed on March 31, 2011, the Clariant Corporation seeks the imposition of anti-dumping duties on imports into the United States of stilbenic optical brightening agents from China and Taiwan. These investigations led to the imposition of AD orders following the final injury determination by the U.S. International Trade Commission on April 19, 2012 (http://www.usitc.gov/press_room/news_release/2012/er0419kk2.htm). The rates were 63.98-109.95% (http://ia.ita.doc.gov/frn/2012/1203frn/2012-7215.txt).
On October 13, 2017 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that revoking the existing antidumping duty orders on imports of certain stilbenic optical brightening agents from China and Taiwan would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. As a result of the affirmative determinations, the existing antidumping duty orders will remain in place.
