NoOn January 11, 2011, the Indian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of pentaerythritol from the European Union (excluding Sweden). The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2905.4200.
On April 10, 2012, the Indian authorities issued their final findings and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty. This definitive duty was imposed on June 20, 2012 (Notification No. 33/2012-Customs (ADD), 20.06.2012). The amount of the duty ranges from USD 379 to USD 490 per metric ton, depending on the exporter. This definitive duty is effective for a period of five years.
On 19 June 2017, the Indian authorities terminated the definitive duty on imports of the subject good from the European Union.
