Anti-dumping

On 22 April 2010, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imported Caprolactam from the EU and the US. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 2933.71.00.
On 24 January 2011, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) issued the Notice No.3 (2011), announcing the preliminary determination to impose anti-dumping duty on imported Caprolactam originating from the EU and US. The duty on import from the European Union is between 4.3% and 25.5% depending on the company. The duty on import from the United States is between 6.6% and 24.2% depending on the company. The duty is in force from 25 January 2011.

On 22 October 2011, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on caprolactam from the European Union and the United States. The duty on import from the European Union is between 2.3% and 25.5% depending on the company. The duty on import from the United States is between 2.2% and 24.2% depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
 
On 22 October 2016, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of the above good from the United States and the European Union (MOFCOM Announcement No. 52 of 2016). It follows the application lodged on 16 August 2016 by SINOPEC Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical Company, SINOPEC Baling Company, Shandong Haili Chemical Co., Ltd. Jiangsu Haili Chemical Co., Ltd., Quzhou Juhua Polyamide Fibre LLC, and Liaocheng Meisi New Material Technology Co., Ltd. The existing anti-dumping duty remains in force during the review period.

On 22 October 2017, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China extended the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from the European Union and the United States following the conclusion of a sunset review. The rate of duty on imports from the European Union remains between 2.3% and 25.5% depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from the United States remains between 2.2% and 24.2% depending on the company. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
