On November 19, 2010, the Government of Argentina adopted anti-dumping duties of 143% against tube or pipe fittings of iron or steel from Brazil and 295% applicable to imports of these products from China.
The antidumping investigation was initiated on May 14, 2009, upon request of the Argentinean enterprise DEMA S.A. The products subject to this measure are classified under the following tariff codes of MERCOSUR's common tariff: 7307.19.10 and 7307.19.90. The measure will be in effect for 5 years.
On 19 November 2015, the Argentine authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports above-mentioned products (Resolución 1556/2015, 13.11.2015). This follows the request lodged by DEMA S.A. The duty will remain in force for the duration of this investigation.
On 19 May 2017, the Argentine authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed by Resolution No. 202/2010 and its clarifications, Resolutions No. 1006/2014 dated December 17, 2014. The definitive duty is extended for a period of five years.
On 27 April 2022, the Argentine authorities announced the initiation of a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. It follows the application submitted by FUNDICIONES SAN JUSTO SA.
