Import tariff

Effective 23 October 2010, the government of Sri Lanka has reduced its import duties on birds' eggs and meat of fowl. Under the new scheme, eggs may be imported duty free and meat of fowl is subject to an import tariff of 15 percent, down from 30 percent previously.
