NoOn 4 February 2011, the government of South Africa exempted solid sodium hydroxide (HS 2815.11) from all import duties. The duty expemption, which applies to the Southern African Customs Union (SACU), is restricted to sodium hydroxide imports to be used for the extraction of uranium.
