On 8 September 2016, the Brazilian authorities initiated a sunset review of the above anti-dumping duty on imports of certain carbon steel pipes used for oil and gas pipelines with a diameter of up to five inches from China (Circular No. 55, 08.09.2016). This review follows a petition lodged on 29 April 2016 by Vallourec Tubos do Brasil S.A.
On 22 August 2017, the Brazilian authorities extended the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China following the conclusion of the above sunset review. The rate of duty is USD 743 per tonne. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
