Export ban

On 9 September 2011, the Indian Ministry of Commerce & Industry notified a ban on onion exports.
 
The ban was lifted on 20 September 2011 and onion exports were allowed subject to aminimum export price of USD 475 per metric ton. This minimum export price existed before the export ban (see related measure).
