NoOn November 3rd 2010, the Brazilian government announced a temporary tariff reduction on the ad-valorem import duty from 16% to 2% for 6 tariff lines (HS code 8-digit level) classified as computing machinery and telecommunication equipment and apparatus.
The initial regulation allowed reduced imports for electronic automatic regulators (HS code 903289). However, on November 26th 2010, the government decided to revoke thetemporary tariff reduction for these tariff lines, leaving only certain television receivers as the sole benificiary.
The stated measure will expire on 30 June 2012.
