Import tariff

On 3 June 2010, the government of the Philippines suspended import tariffs on books intended for educational purposes. Among the now duty free imports are dictionaries, educational newspapers and journals, picture and drawing books, music, maps, and educational picture sets.
 
The measure became effective at the beginning of July 2010.
