On March 4, 2010, the Korean authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of plywood from Malaysia. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 4412.3100 and 4412.3200.
On February 1, 2011, the Korean authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of plywood from Malaysia. The rate of the duty ranges from 5.12% to 38.10%.
On September 26, 2013, the Korean authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure.
On September 5, 2014, the Korean authorities decided upon the continuation of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of plywood originating in Malaysia. The rate of the duty ranges from 3.08% to 38.10%.
On 10 May 2016, the Korean authorities initiated a sunset review of the above anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of plywood from Malaysia.
On 8 May 2017, the Republic of Korea extended the definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Malaysia following the conclusion of the above sunset review. The rate of duty is between 3.96% and 38.10%.
