NoOn June 8, 2010, the Indian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of Para nitroaniline PNA from China. The product subject to investigation is classified under the following HS code: 2921.4226.
On August 5, 2011, the Indian authorities issued their final findings and recommended the imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty. This definitive duty was imposed on September 9, 2011 (Notification No. 88/2011-Customs, 09.09.2011). The amount of the duty ranges from USD 0.09 to USD 0.26 per kilogram. This definitive duty is effective for a period of five years.
On 1 September 2016, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the above-mentioned anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of the subject goods originating in or exported from China. This follows the application lodged by Abhilasha Tex-Chem Ltd. and Amarjyot Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.
On 7 September 2016, in connection with the above sunset review the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification extending the definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject good originating in or exported from China for one year i.e. until 8 September 2017 (Notification No. 49/2016-Customs (ADD), 07.09.2016).
On 4 October 2017, the Indian Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance extended the definitive on imports of the subject good from China. The rate of duty is USD 183.54 or 256.48 per tonne depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
