ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On 11 August 2010, the government of Venezuela raised its cap on gold exports. Registered companies now may export up to 50 percent of their production, selling the other half to the National Bank of Venezuela. Prior to the change, exporters were only allowed to ship at most 30 percent of their production abroad.
