Import tariff

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa has increased the general rate of duty on calcium propionate from free of duty to 15% ad valorem. The increase is to enable the domestic market meet the challenges of foreign competition, fully utilise production capacity, achieve increased economies of scale and reduce the marginal cost of production.
