NoOn 28 October 2016, the Argentinian authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain stainless steel table knives with fixed blade, forks and spoons from Brazil and China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 8211.10.00, 8211.91.00, 8215.20.00 and 8215.99.10.
On 7 July 2017, the Argentinian authorities issued Resolution 520-E/2017 deciding to continue the above investigation without the imposition of provisional duties.
On 26 April 2018, the Argentinian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Brazil and China. The rate of duty on imports from Turkey is ad valorem 5.37% or 47.19% of the FOB value depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from China is ad valorem 48% of the FOB value. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
The definitive duty was terminated on 29 March 2021.
