Anti-dumping

On 13 October 2016, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of resorcinol originating in or exported from China and Japan. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 2907.21.00. This investigation follows the application lodged by Atul Ltd.

On 21 March 2018, the Indian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of resorcinol from China and Japan. The rate of duty on imports from China is USD 5461 per tonne. The rate of duty on imports from Japan is USD 5461 per tonne. The duty is in force for a period of three years.
