ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On 13 September 2016, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs announced in a press release that it would start importing beef from India again. It further announced imports of 70 tonne of meat until the end of the year and a further 30 tonnes will be procured by the state agency Bulog until 30 June 2017.
The press release also stated that Indonesia would import 700 thousand cattle in 2017. As this does not represent a significant change to the numbers in 2016 (cf. Related Measures), cattle was not selected as an affected trading product.
