NoOn 24 August 2016, the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) from Malaysia, the Republic of Korea and China. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 3907.60.10.00, 3907.60.20.00, and 3907.60.90.00. The complaint was lodged by the Association of Manufacturers of Fibre and Yarn Filament Indonesia (Asosiasi Produsen Serat dan Benang Filamen Indonesia).
On 3 February 2021, the Indonesian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Malaysia, the Republic of Korea and China. The rate of duty on imports from India ranges from 4% to 8.5%. The rate of duty on imports from China ranges from 2.6% to 10.6%. The rate of duty on imports from Thailand ranges from 2.2% to 7.1%.
