On 31 August 2016, the Argentine General Administration of Ports, in order to reduce the logistic costs related with exporting from the port of Buenos Aires, via Resolution 076, eliminated the mandatory use of the export certificate 'Certificado de Transporte Argentino Protegido' (in English: Certificate for Protected Argentine Transport).
The elimination of this certificate will reduce for USD 4.00, the cost per ton of goodsexported from the port of Buenos Aires.
In fiscal year 2015, the goods exported from the port of Buenos Aires belonged primarily to the following product categories: manufacturing products, chemical products, fruits, juices and other beverages, meats, leathers, iron, steel, wool, cotton, combustibles, lubricants, paper, automobiles (including auto parts), oils and lumber.
