Import tariff

 
Viet Nam has imposed Import tariffs on newsprint paper and uncoated paper were raised to 29 percent (up from 20 and 25 percent respectively). The duties came into effect on 16 February 2009 and were only applied to non-ASEAN trading partners.
 
In March 2009 the favorable import tariff of 3 percent for ASEAN-members was raised to 5 percent.
