Anti-subsidy

On 23 November 2011, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain writing and printing paper from Indonesia and Thailand (Notice CVD No. 2/2011/NTC/CP, Initiation). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 4802.55.10; 4802.56.00; 4802.5700; 4802.61.00; 4802.62.00; 4810.13.10; 4810.13.20: 4810.14.00; 4810.19.10 and 4810.19.90. This investigation follows the application lodged on 8 October 2011 by Packages Ltd.
 
On 31 August 2012, Pakistan notified the World Trade Organization's Committee on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures that the investigation had been temporarily suspended by court order.
 
On 4 March 2014, Pakistan notified the World Trade Organization's Committee on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures that the investigation was terminated as of 3 June 2014.
