Anti-subsidy

On June 30, 2016 Weldbend Corporation and Boltex Mfg., L.P. filed a petition seeking the imposition of countervailing duties on imports from India.

The first step in this investigation is the U.S. International Trade Commission's preliminary injury determination. The commission reached an affirmative determination in its August 12, 2016 vote.
On November 22, 2016, the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the countervailing duty investigation of imports from India.

On June 23, 2017, the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative final determination in the countervailing duty investigation of imports of finished carbon steel flanges from India.

On July 27, 2017 the U.S. International Trade Commission determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of subsidized imports from India. As a result of this affirmative determination, the Department of Commerce will issue a countervailing duty order on imports of these products from India.
