State loan

On 30 March 2016, the European Investment Bank announced in a press release that it had provided a 500 million GBP for the construction of the Caithness Moray transmission link in Northern Scotland.
The entire project costs 1.2 billion GBP and is owned by Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc, a subsidiary of SSE plc.
A state measure in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects the extent of discrimination against foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support proposed here is discriminatory.
