On 11 April 2016, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) increased customs duty on wheat and wheaten products from 91.12c/kg (approx. USD 0.06 per kg) and 136.68c/kg (approx. 0.09 USD per kg) to 122.43c/kg (approx. USD 0.08 per kg) and 183.65c/kg (approx. USD 0.13 per kg) respectively.
