NoOn 17 February 2011, the Argentinian authorities decided to extend the definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain air conditioning equipment with a maximum capacity 6,500 frigorías per hour from China following a sunset review (Resolution 44/2011). The products subject to duty fall under tariff headings: 8415.10.11, 8415.10.19 and 8415.90.00. The rate of the definitive duty imposed is the difference between the value declared and the minimum export FOB, which ranging between USD 110.49 and USD 332.42 depending on the specified product. For more information on these duties can be found in Resolution 44/2011. This definitive anti-dumping duty is applicable for a period of five years.
On 17 February 2016, the Argentinian authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of above-mentioned products (Resolución 18/2016). This follows the request lodged by the Asociación de Fábricas Argentinas Terminales de Electrónica (AFARTE). The duty will remain in force for the duration of this investigation.
On 7 December 2016, the Argentinian authorities extended the anti-dumping duty imposed by Resolution 44/2011 for an additional period of five years.
On 9 November 2021, the Argentine authorities announced the initiation of a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by AFARTE.
