ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On 1 April 2016, the Chinese government introduced new oil export quotas for the second quarter of 2016. The quota was reduced compared to the first quarter from 21 million tonnes to 14 million tonnes.
Nevertheless, this measure is classified as trade-liberalising, since the comparable quota for the second quarter of 2015 was actually lower - 5.6 million tonnes.
The list of affected trading partners is based on 2014 trade figures.
