Anti-dumping

On 24 February 2016, the Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of flexible slabstock polyol originating in or exported from Thailand. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3907.20. This investigation follows the application lodged by Manali Petrochemicals Ltd.
 
On 11 April 2017, the Indian Ministry of Finance issued the Customs Notification imposing a definitive antidumping duty on the subject good from Thailand. The rate of duty is USD 135.40 per tonne. The company IRPC Polyol Company Ltd. is exempt from the anti-dumping duty. The definitive duty is in force for a period of five years from the date of publication i.e. from 11 April 2017.

On 31 August 2021, the Indian authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Thailand. The investigation follows the application lodged by Manali Petrochemicals Ltd.

On 30 December 2021, the Indian Directorate General of Trade Remedies terminated the antidumping duty on imports of flexible slabstock polyol originating in or exported from Thailand. The termination follows the applicants' withdrawal of their petition on 23 December 2021.
