On 25 April 2015, the Italian Eximbank SACE announced in a press release that it decided to increase the ceiling for supporting exports and investments to Cuba from 10 to 100 million EUR.
The Eximbank estimates that "if the package of reforms undertaken by the government fulfills its potential, Italian companies could gain an additional EUR 220 million in new exports by 2019".
A state measure in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects the extent of discrimination against foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the state aid proposed here is discriminatory.
