ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
On 18 March 2016, the European Commission approved state aid worth 28 million EUR for the construction of Finland's second liquified natural gas terminal in Hamina, after the one in Pori (cf. Related Measures).
A state measure in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects the extent of discrimination against foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the state aid proposed here is discriminatory.
As Finland has no active LNG terminal yet, it also does not trade in this product and therefore no affected jurisdictions could be selected.
