Export subsidy

On 9 March 2016, the Argentinian government announced its decision to provide exporters of heavy crude oil, a subsidy of USD 7.50 per barrel. This subsidy will apply as long as international oil prices remain under USD 47.50 per barrel. Furthermore, according to official sources this subsidy will apply to exporters of heavy crude oil operating in the San Jorge basin in Patagonia. Lastly, these oil subsidies will apply to the period 1 January 2016- 31 December 2016.
The affected trading partners are nations competing with Argentine exports of the stated tariff lnes in a shared export destination. Due to a lack of more recent statistics, they are caluclated from 2014 data.
