ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
Export licensing requirement
On 23 December 2015, the Indonesian Trade Ministry issued regulation 119/M-DAG/PER/12/2015 changing the export restrictions for mineral ores.
Export licenses requirement for mineral ores lifted
With the new provisions in place, the requirement for mineral ores exporters to obtain a specific export license beforehand ("Eksportir Terdaftar Produk Pertambangan Hasil Pengolahan dan Pemurnian") has been lifted.
Nonetheless, the exporters will still require a number of documents (incl. a mining license, a technical verification by a selected surveyor and export realisation reports). Also, as introduced beforehand (cf. Related Measures), certain ores may only be exported until 12 January 2017.
The regulation came into force on 1 February 2016.
On 1 February 2017, regulation 1/2017 by the Ministry of Trade came into force revoking regulation 119/2015 (see related state acts). However, the new regulation has still lifted export licensing requirements for most of the products mentioned in this intervention. Hence, this intervention continues to be classified as in force.
